turbo my NA gxl

ok so i asked the dude the the local shop that works on rotary engines if i can swap the TII rotors into my na housings he said i could if i ran the turbo tII counter balances... an i know if an when i turbo my motor after that i need to get the adapter plate to it for the turbo manifold to the na housings... but anyway i know this will lower my compression with the TII rotors an stuff... but this is the thing im confused on will it make a differnece if its a 6 port cause i know tII come with 4 ports. is this goin to make a differnce... also will i be hurting my motor is i boost more than 6 pounds... im doing a internal block off an doin a external wastegate so i can adjust the spring...

Tell you what I think................If you put the turbo rotors in the non tubo engine, that act will COST you a bunch of money because it means your going to have to do a complete rebuild. I suggest you look at the cost of rebuilding an engine. Big bucks to me.

I know nothing about an adapter plate.

If you buy a turbo intake manifold and attach it to the non turbo engine. you will HAVE to get a air motor out and hog out the turbo intake manifold to match the non turbo intake holes. Just lay your non turbo intake gasket over the TURBO manifold and remove metal. It'll be obvious where the metal needs to be removed with the non turbo gasket set on the turbo intake manifold.

Maybe there's an adapter that mates the turbo intake manifold to the non turbo end plates. Never heard of such myself. Might exist though.

A series four tubo manifold gutted out to fit a series four Non Turbo Engine, looks like the attached jpgs.

I don't have a picture of it not gutted out to fit a non turbo.

The RED areas are where metal existed that had to be cut out.

The BLUE area is a cavity that NEEDS to be filled in. Some use JBWELD. I filled mine with molten metal. Molten metal won't fail on me.

A simple Dremel Motor with a coarse drum will remove the aluminum metal easily and smoothly.

The last jpg shows the NON TURBO SIX PORT GASKET layed over the GUTTED series five manifold. I won't be using this metal gasket. I made a paper gasket of the same shape so I can use the water passage from the rear rotor housing to feed the turbo for water cooling.

Only if you swap S4 to S5 or vice versa. The rotor weights are different.

Are you talking about an exhaust spacer? A spacer works but a much better solution is to use a custom manifold.

but anyway i know this will lower my compression with the TII rotors an stuff... but this is the thing im confused on will it make a differnece if its a 6 port cause i know tII come with 4 ports. is this goin to make a differnce... also will i be hurting my motor is i boost more than 6 pounds... im doing a internal block off an doin a external wastegate so i can adjust the spring...
For 6 pounds, just use the stock NA rotors.

The ports on the NA engine will have approximately the same effect of running a large street port 4 port engine.
