turbo manifold ?

I wasnt sure if i should post here or the parts section but here goes. I have been looking for a simple turbo manifold for my 13bt that will put the turbo up front in the engine bay. Kinda like the simple one shown on Turblown.net. the only thing is i cannot afford it and i am looking for a cheaper alternative. i have searched and found a couple nice ones but i just want to see what more seasoned rotary owners think. If anybody has some info on a good custom shop around NJ or even a good website to get a descent manifold please post.

The only such manifolds are custom, and thus cost a bit of money. If you have someone fabricate one, it's not going to cost less then $800.

Bought retail or from an industrail plumbing supplier, the materials alone are going to be at least $200 (and that's best case). There's a lot of labour into cutting and fitting the pipes (a few hours if you have jigs and have done it before) and then a good few hours welding everything up. Welding gas, consumables, any coatings applied, etc. all add costs.

Keep in mind that these are low volume products, many of which are fabricated by hand to order.

If you can weld, then it's something that you can make yourself.

i've read a lot of threads about the HKS cast iron manifold. On the HKS website it only lists the 93-96 REW mani. Is there any reason this wouldn't fit (IE possibly the center housing is wider or port sizing is different)? Just throwing that out there. I also read they discontinued production on the ones for the FC T2's. Also, what is the 'log manifold' I read about? /threadjack

The HKS manifold for the FC fits the FC, but it has a standard T4 flange and locates the turbo in close to a stock position.

As far as I know, there are no aftermarket manifolds for the stock turbo except those custom made (Turblown will make them).
