Turbo inlet duct?
Searched and didn't really find what i was looking for. I need a TID for my car the one i have is held on with rubber home depot pipe couplers. and i need something real. What reccomendations do the turbo people have? I've already seen the HKS suction kit and that is way too pricey, and i already have the HKS filter . . .
here's my current setup; car is currently inoperable seeing as i'm missing important parts the previous owner decided to sell to others . . .
any help would be great, i'd really like to get this beast up and running soon.

What's wront with the Home Depot Racing intake? Aside from the fact that your AFM is unlevel and the filter will be sucking hot air, it works very well. Also you have the worst filter on the market.

I'm oiling the filter and keeping an eye on it, it was free with some other things i bought and it'll do until i can grab a k&n (had one on my last car). the AFM being un level is part of my reason for wanting a new TID, can't wait to get a PFC and eliminate that peice of ****. The car is a mess under the hood, i'm debating whether or not to buy a gasket set, a bunch of paint and polish and go to town, but then it'll be even longer before i can drive it, and sevenstock is coming up soon, if it happens this year. . .
blah.
blah.

A filter that's supposed to be run dry will obviously become more restrictive if you oil it. IMO that's an issue...
I had a closer look at the pics and the TID doesn't necessarily need to be replaced. I'd fit better couplers though, and a smaller diameter filter will allow the AFM to sit lower and more level. Put a heat shield around it, cut some holes to allow outside air in and you're done.
