Turbo II tranny?

Will a S4 Turbo II tranny, drive shaft, and rear-end go into my S4 GXL with a N/A Motor? What modification will I need to do if any to make the Turbo II Driveline go onto my N/A GXL? Thanks for your help!

T2 flywheel, T2 clutch assembly, T2 starter (or auto i have heard; not sure), and T2 rear halfshafts i believe on top of what you listed.

if i'm wrong, someone with experience correct me.

is there a reason youre curious for this? this topic has come up many times. you can use key words and search. click the link in the top right corner.

in short, the T2 drivetrain is stronger, but not needed in most applications. its heavier and has similar gear ratios. it has a lsd rear, but so do S4 n/as.

Yes, it will work just fine assuming that your GXL originally had a manual transmission, but you need to swap the entire drivetrain, including the Turbo II transmission, clutch, clutch slave cylinder, starter, driveshaft, differential, and halfshafts. You also need to install a S4 Turbo II flywheel on your S4 NA engine.

You need to keep the counter weight from the NA though.


You can also buy the Mazdatrix hybrid driveshaft and use the TII tranny with the NA rear end. It makes them bolt right up.

Well, I want to do this mainly because my stock lsd is going out and it is pretty expensive to rebuild it. I might buy this turbo II parts car if I can swap all that stuff onto my n/a. Thanks for the help

Oh yeah, So do I need to keep the n/a counter weight?
