Turbo II Swap Questions... Please Help!

Hi. I'm in the middle of putting a TII engine into my NA RX7. For the most part everything has been straight forward. I'm almost done and have a few mystery lines... I'd really appreciate anyone who can help me out. Thanks in advance.

hmmm is this motor an S5?

anyways, in the first pic I believe your right most vac line goes to ACV on the uppier intake, I think, the center one almost looks like one of the coolant lines coming from the TB....the left most I don't know...

I don't know about the electrical plug either, Ill have to check mine tonite unless someone beats me to it

The engine is out of an 88 10th anniversary edition. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look of the TB and AVC. If you wouldn't mind, please let me know if you have any luck when you look. I'd really appreciate it! Thanks again.

I figured out the left most hoses in the first pic. I had one in the wrong place and figured out where the other two went. I still don't know where the middle or right go to though. The middle one connects to a hose that appears to point towards the top of the engine. I'm not sure what the other end connects too though. Does anyone know if the right most line connects to the hose in the bottom pic?

Top picture, far right goes to the twin scroll actuator. A long pipe comes from the twin scroll actuator and ends near there. Then a piece of vacuum tube connects the two together.

Top picture, middle large hose is for the brake booster.

Answer this about the first picture, far left circle. HOW MANY METAL NIPPLES ARE ONE ABOVE THE OTHER?????? IT matters.

Picture two: The factory sent out a bulletin to remove the Sub Zero Start System. Since your intake is on, just put a cap on the end and string tie that to the side and forget about it.

Picture three: It depends. If the ACV has but one solenoid on it, then that is PROBABLY the plug for the Split Air Solenoid, errrrrr, ahhhh, or the Port Air Solenoid. It should mate with the emissions harness. Remember your old engine? It had two solenoids there and they each connected to a plug on the emissions harness. Those two plugs are usually near the water filler/thermostat neck area.

Is this a JSPEC engine?

The MYSTERY TUBE???? line???? confuses me. I'm not sure if it's metal or rubber or two different items.

Last picture is the banjo fitting on the Twin Scroll Actuator. A hard line comes off there and feeds to the third tube in the FIRST PICTURE (remember?). A vac hose of your making will attach the two hard lines together.

YES! In the first picture, that hose from the green check valve, should be on the BOTTOM nipple. That is the only nipple that has VACCUMM on it. The next nipple up should be of a larger diameter and goes to feed the oil injector spider fresh air.

The next nipple up should feed the fuel injector air bleed nipple that sits B/T the two oil injectors on the manifold. Only seen with the intake taken off. There should be a hose laying about that leads under the intake manifold going to the fuel injector air bleed nipple.

Oh! I get it. The FROM HERE and the MYSTERY LINE are one and the same. Twin Scroll Actuator vacuum line that connects to the far right circle in the FIRST PICUTURE. Use a small piece of vacuum hose (I'm repeating myself, I know it).

HAILERS, Thank you very much. There are four nipples near the left most circle in the first picture. On my other junk TII there are only three nipples. The bottom three seemed to be the same between the two engines. Does this sound right?

I'm going to go see if I can get those lines hooked up following your advice. Thanks!!!! I'm sure I'll at least a few more questions... Do you mind if I shoot you out a PM or two when they come up? I really appreciate your help!

Yes, the mystery line comes from the banjo fitting. It is metal but the end has a hose fitted on to it. It was pretty bent up in shipping and I wasn't sure where it went to. Thanks... Kills two birds with one stone. Thanks man!

I have three series four engines. All have four nipples one above the other. The top one is capped off. It goes nowhere.

The other three are as I described. Bottom to the green/white checkvalve. Next up should be a larger diameter and goes to the oil injector spider. The third from the bottom goes to a nipple that sits b/t the two oil injectors on the intake manifold (fuel injector air bleed nipple).

Sorry, I don't EVER look at PM's or writer PM's. Its one of my *things* I don't do, ain't gonna do, don't wanna do.

In this picture, for some unknown reason the author did not show TWO oil injectors on the intake manifold. Only the fwd one. But you can see the nipple next to it and how the vac line from it goes to the back where the nipples are.

The oil injector is to the left of that fat, thick red line. Next to it is the yellow vac line coming off a air bleed nipple.
