All rear subframes from any FC will be the same....only one's Im not sure on would be the vert. But I suspect its the same.

Why not repair it/beef it up?

Meaning MAKE it stronger than it was before. There's these things in engineering called gussets, they work well...........

Just re-work it to make it "beefier" than it was before. Use a thicker plate, bevel the cuts where you'll weld so you get better penetration, add a support the back side, add gussets...there many ways to make somethign strong.

or **** it and just buy the new one..........

You might want to visit a shop in your area and explain your situation, you may find yourself saving money and with a reinforced subframe stronger than the original.

but yeah, that will require actually talking to someone you don't already know in real life... I know, it's a drag...

Not long ago I busted the rearset off on my kawasaki zx6 while on a trip to great lakes dragaway. I just kept riding until I passed a ratty looking shop with a young guy inside doing work on a big truck. A few minutes of discussing the situation had him removing the parts from my bike and preparing to weld aluminum - without even discussing cost. When he was finished I had to practically force him to accept $40 for his spent time, he must have wasted a good 2-3 hours on it.

Keep in mind you won't have much success going to a muffler/brake chain where theres a corporate manager running the place - you gotta go to a small private shop where the guy fixes random machines for everyone in the area, from big trucks to lawn mowers. A true local mechanic.

Reinforce the new one, or you will back were you are now, weld in new gussets, or search for the "snubber mod" and do that, ot better yet both. I have already broken 2stock ones.

If you need a sub-frame

I've got a S4 TII subframe sitting loose that I'll just give away to who ever picks it up.
