turbo II over boosting

turbo II over boosting

i have a s5 in a 85 gsl-se all stock except with 3" exhaust no muffler with a cat on it. i was running a bit lean i'm sure but cant decide what size injectors or which fuel management to go with. completely stock ports just new apex seals from rotary aviation.

looking for some advice, new to rotary let alone boost. any help is apprec.

lol no way 3" exhuast and ove rboosting? never heard of that.... you need to port your wastegate, any time you free up the exhaust and or intake on a t2 motor, you will get boost creep because the stock wastegate is inadequete. If you port it out to the flaper edge it should bring your boost levels back down to stock level.

my thing is i was looking for more power. so i was planning on porting it a little but then running safc or rtek a front mount and bigger injectors. was hoping to get near 300 hp but i'm not sure i have enough money to go that extreme. should i port the wastegate as much as i can then get a new cold side of the turbo? i was hoping to keep the stock turbo.

You need to research. All of your questions have been answered here before. Read up in the single turbo section and about the way turbos work in general. Then you can start adding things to a future mod list. Look into the BNR turbo upgrades. There is a wealth of information on this site to learn from.
