Turbo II outer CV Strength?

I am curious if anyone has broken the outer CV of a TII axle. Long story short - and please don't hate - I have a Turbo LQ4 FC. It has a Ford 8.8 IRS with upgraded inner CVs and Axle bars, but it still uses the outer TII CV. I was curious how far I can push them before they brake.

Car makes right around 750whp and I am worried about leaving on a slick, at a sticky track, off a trans brake. Thanks for the help and info guys.

Holy cow that's powerful! How many torques are you running?
the TII drivetrain can actually run and handle quite a lot of power. This being said, you seem to have left the realm of normal power gains as 750 is actually stretching it. I've seen them handle up to about 650-700 or so before you have to start running bulky parts. Just be gentle I suppose but drags are never really gentle. If it holds, it holds.

The ronin 8.8 kit sounds exactly the same as what you're running (I assume you probably have it) and no one has broken one with that kit so far...

I have a kit thats modeled after the ronin kit but is not it exactly. Unfortunately, i am unsure of the actual power its butting down at the 15# boost level that i am currently running. I only had it on the dyno at 6psi (boost controller issues). at 6psi it was 501/496.

That being said, its not all that possible to take it easy on the car. I am afraid most of my launches would be off a trans brake with slicks lol. I talked to the DSS and they stated their Pro-Series axle is their only solution. Thats $2100 worth of solution. I am going to ride it out and see how long these last. Hopefully it will hold up.
