Removing the secondary throttles (really, tertiary throttles, but who's counting) on an NA has no effect if they are working correctly. They are only in place to keep idiots from WOTing a cold engine.
Some cars run fine without all the cold start assist stuff. The vast majority of them, do not. Thing is, why even remove it? No power gain, replace the hoses and they won't fail for another 20 years, only the possibility of cold idle issues if removed?
Of course none of that is needed with a BAC and a standalone.

Some of us enjoy the flickability of the faster three port steering rack.. Some of us also believe the speed sensitive power steering does a great job.
I've done depowered racks before, and it's ok...but to me it removes a sense of refinement and makes the steering weight up too much in certain situations. In my opinion, the previously mentioned rack allows for more finesse when it's operating the way it was designed.
If you honestly believe it is dragging your power down that much, then you're just plain nuts. :-)

Even on my built RX's, I'd leave the AC, Thermowax, and BAC. At the end of the day, I'd still like a car that can start easily, and drive comfortably. The interior in RX's get way too hot for my tastes without AC.
Another thing I used to see all the time is stripped interior. And for what, the difference in weight between a passenger or not?
