There's been several post on getting these.
What's the status people. Who's making them & how much.
Let's start with the TII hoods and then talk about inverse hood scoop, no hood scoop, etc..

1st post on making CF TII hoods
then all hell broke loose
"no I want one like the border one"
"no I want one with a reverse scoop"
"i'll buy if it don't have scoop" and so on and so on
Just go to any auto specially FG/CF shop and let them make you one
don't hold your breath waiting for one here.

yeah people are too picky, I am about to just get a custom one done a pay some more money instead of waiting for other people to make up their minds. White w/ CF hood is gonna look bad ***, maybe I will get some of that fake sticky carbon fiber to cover my headlights when they aren't up so everything flows.

You know if we could get rid of dreamers
and get serious about making a CF hood
it could happpen.
I't would be just fine to have a stock looking TII hood
the only diffrences
that would be cool
would be to have the scoop smooth shaped (round'ish
you what I mean? instead of the square stock design
and no n/a style ones
that would take double the mold and double the labor.
I know of people that can make a FG hood
but don't know about making a CF one.
SO we should get a serious Idea of who would be willing to shell out upto
$400 for a CF stock or near stock TII hood.
and get something going.
the only problem I see would be shipping cost and the extra care it would take to ship these across country.
I may just have to find some one local to make me one
white
yellow
red
my future color pearl Orange
Rex with CF hood would look bad ***.

Why does'nt anybody make these? I'm sure they will sell like crazy. There are dozens of after market hoods for the 3rd gen but only a couple for the 2nd gen. None C/F though.....And Yes only TII type hoods for now.......maybe in the future N/A but I don't see the point. Go Kabooski Go.....ya it would look badass!!!!

Problems with stock Hood
For the 400-500 price you're going to get a hood that uses hood pins becuase to add the extra layers to make it stiff enough to hold all the extra arm and latch junk would be expensive.
That also means that it will be expensive to make all the extra junk that's needed to make the hood scoop fit the intercooler. Take a look under your hood, all that stuff is needed to force air through the IC, without it you're not going ot get any kind of flow THROUGH it, maube around it.
if you want a CF hood for 400-500 on a TII, get one with a vent and hope that enough air gets pulled up and out to make it effective. There's been some debate on here on whether that would work, and even if it would be better then the stock setup, there's been pics of pressure diagrams and everything.
Better yet get a FMIC, it'll help out alot more then dropping 10 or 20lbs of your hood, and then you can get a hood with a vent, and it'll be all sorts of good.

Great, everyone go out and buy a CF hood. Then, send all your TII hoods to me. Hell, I'll pay for shipping. When you find out that the intercooler isn't getting any air through it (because Tristan is right) I'll sell them back to you.
Seriously guys, take the money, buy a decent FMIC and make a FG hood. Seems like a better route to me.

What's the big deal with cf hoods? If I was going to get a hood it would be after FMIC install and would probably do one of the following:
1. RE Amemiya hood scoop louver and keep my aluminum oem TII hood
2. Knight Sports FC hood
