I found a company that sells block off plates for FC3S Turbos but i'm not sure what the hell this is for. I was looking at a custom T4 turbo setup and i noticed that they used a blockoff system on the car. Could someone fill me in as to what this is and if it's worth spending the money to buy.

The block off plates are for capping off holes when you remove your emmissions stuff(air pump, egr, etc..) . Theres probably lots of info if you search.

 

my next question is...

Will the car run just as good if i uninstall these items, egr..air pump etc.

I'm pulling the engine out of my 87 TII and looking to free up some weight along with make the engine bay less crowded with a bunch of crap i don't need.

 

there's a really good write up in the FAQ's on removing smog equipment

best writeup i have seen...that one is specifically for S4 TII so it should be EXACTLY like that says.
