I spent 3 mondays on an internal combustion engine lab for one of my classes. We noticed the turbo and the exhaust manifold glowing bright orange. We freaked and hit the emergency stop. Then we found out it was normal. The T.A.'s (teacher-assistants) grumbled about how the emergency stop was bad for the engine. It always glowed, we just didn't notice til it got bright.

that's why the cast iron tends to crack, rotaries abuse the hell out of turbos and exhaust systems in general but it is perfectly normal.

Dude. You can't run full intake and exhaust without other mods..

You might be glowing mad-red because of not having any fuel mods.

Yeah, I bet you're running super lean with just those mods, which will cause it to get even hotter than normal.

if its glowing red, let the car idle for a few minutes before turning it off. it lets oil and coolant circulate through the turbo more while it isnt working hard so it can cool down.

40psi is a bit high at idle and without a way to lean out those larger injectors there's not much you can do about it.
