Question Turbo fluttering in 5th gear

hey,

this sounds stupid but for whatever reason, only in 5th gear it sounds as if the turbo is fluttering or surging, there is no change in power, it stays constant, but the audible sound coming from the turbo (BNR3) sounds like it's surging....

any idea guys?, it's kind of odd i know, but confusing....

i still have no idea what's causing the noise, does anyone have any idea!?, i can somewhat notice it in 4th gear too, the boost stays the same yet if i pin it from a lower RPM as the turbo spools to 14psi, you can notice the flutter, it does not happen if you pin it at a higher RPM....

are there chances of me losing my compressor wheel into oblivion?, lol....

the ACV blockoff plate is a good location, but I myself made the mistake of tapping the wrong portion of the plate. Only in the upper left corner does it actually pull manifold vacuum (you can see this in the gasket). The big hole on the right goes to the exhaust ports (port air control on the ACV) and the hole to the left goes to the split air pipe and thus to the cat.

try hooking your BOV to the very bottom nipple on the front of the UIM, or the very bottom nipple on the back of the UIM.
