Question Turbo Disassembly

I am new to the world of turbos. I am currently preparing for a TII swap into my NA. I have found a donor car and have removed the TII engine, tranny, driveshaft, differential, and half-shafts. I have stripped the engine of an bolted on parts. I want to get the wastegate ported while I have time, but I am unable to separate the trubo from the wastegate. I have removed the four bolts but it is not coming apart. I am afraid to brake it. Please help if you can.

Thanks

get some PB Blaster from Checker and soak the stuff.

My Exhaust housing wouldn't come off of my turbo either. I ended up just taking the back plate off the Exhaust side and porting it like that. I used a sand filled mallet and it still wouldn't come off so I quit before I broke something.

Mine is a Series 5 turbo so I removed the 5 bolts on the back and the plate comes off to reveal the WG. I just ported like that and dumped out the shavings every few minutes.(I just did it this weekend)

BTW try and get some good bits to grind with and a High RPM drill or pnuematic tool to make your life a whole lot easier when porting.
