Not without some major cutting. By then I don't know how much it would flow.

Get one off an ISUZU NPR trucks!..make sure you aim for the smaller version and not the big one. The big one is too big.

Well the big ones do fit in front of the radiator, but the pressure drop with a stock turbo is laughable.

Some of the Buick GN guys are trying this IC. They report "good results". There are a couple of conflicting footnotes though: I've read they flow about 300cfm - that's really low for an IC that big, IMO. Also, I don't think that's enough air for a stock GN. Much less one that's been modified. Seems to me if we knew how much HP the powerstroke's were making, and knew the formula for HP (for a diesel) we couuld verify the 300 cfm number, but I haven't been able to find the formula. Also, the only way to mount one in an FC would be to lay it down (flat) and use ground effects to pull air through it - the way the ALMS and Grand Am cars do.

How does an IC flow a certain amount?

Thats like saying, "this water hose will only flow 8gpm"

An IC will flow whatever the turbo will push through it. I guess, it you pushed too much, it would get too much pressure and break...but IC's dont "flow" x amount of air.

After a certain amount of flow the air passing through the IC will not have time to cool and will heat up, raising the chance of detonation.

OMG!!!

that intercooler is HUGE!! What's the pressure drop in one of those things? It's got to be worthless! I mean, Sure you cool off the air, but at the brice of loosing all boost?! NOT worth it!

The powerstroke IC has proven itself to be very efficient. One of the guys on www.TurboBuicks.com has some well documented track passes with this very IC installed. He found pressure drop to be less then 1 psi at boost levels around 25psi or so. The turbo he is using is rated around 850CFM as well.

Ok...Sure...

Id like to see the stock FC turbo do that on a diesel truck IC
