Turbo boost problems

The car is running better now but the turbo doesn't pull the car like it previously did before the rebuild.

Now if i go to WOT I can hear it spool and my boost gauge jumps to 5psi but the car doesn't ...GO..Sometimes when I slowly let off from WOT the turbo kicks in and shoots off like a bat out of hell, but its not very often this happends.

What do I look for when it comes to boost leak?

Check the air intake system for any leaks, and also check clamps for tightness.

also try an change your CAT to a High Flow 1 or a presilencer from Racing Beat.
I was only pulling 6 PSI with a clogged CAT.

I think the initial start up of a new rebuild, kills the CAT.

I dont have cats, sorry should have mentioned that,, I have a full RB exhaust. Onlything in the system is a presilencer..

I've also tried spraying carb cleaner into the seals of the intake and custom TID but the revs stay the same.

The rebuild is at about 7k I think

Does boost leak mean "intake vacuum leak" type of thing or is it actually boost loss from the exhaust?

boost leak usually occurs from your piping of your intercooler. If you have an aftermarket front mount than it could be that. or it could even be that with the stock one. You might want to check that.

alright i'll check my stock IC in the morning..
If I changed the nut and bolt combo connecting the turbo to the manifold into just bolts would you think that would cause a turbo problem?

Check your Wastegate to make sure it isn't haning open.

If you still have the retarded twin scroll thingis, make sure that the actuator is working properly, its controlled by a solenoid, if it is hanging in the "spool up" position it'll knock the top end off... if it is hagning up and then opening up as you let off the throttle, this could be why the car all of a sudden gets some *** behind it. The vac line broke on mine before i threw it into the garbage when i got the BNR and it seemed the same way, but it never got any *** on the top untill i fixed the problem.

I actually just got through removing the rats nest. I just left the twin scroll solenoid but I dont think its doing its job..
I definately get a kick in the *** when I let off the gas too so I think you've got something here...
How do I go about "FIXING" this problem???

Or how do I test to see if its working?

New revelation...
When Im driving around at 4k and I lightly push the pedal the car gets a lot of *** behind it but if Im driving along and I go WOT the exhaust makes a subtile popping sound.. almost like rapid mini backfires...

any clues to whats causing the rumble?
