Turbo-Auto in an '87 Base model ??

Yes I'm new, yes, I searched, and yes, I'm going the hard route.
I picked up the car cheap, so I'm gonna have some fun with it.

I looked into the 4-lug to 5-lug swap. Sounds like if I do that, I'll need a new manual tranny to replace the auto. So, questions:
1. Can I put a turbo (possible jspec) motor onto the auto tranny?
a. How much power can these auto trannys hold?
b. How strong is the 4-lug rear end?

2. If I have to swap, how hard is the auto-manual swap?

3. Can I put the manual on a 4-lug rear end until I get a new rear?

Thanks.
Sorry, I know some of its basic stuff

The auto will go on a turbo engine but you need the torque converter and other stuff that other users will be able to tell you about

the auto trannies suck they can't even last much more than 25k miles without a rebuild.
