help me with my 87 TII tranny, I cant get the shifter assembly apart+identifying wire
Im swapping a 91 Jspec TII into my 82 rx7
I need to swap the shifter assembly from my old tranny onto the new 87 TII tranny.
I cant get the shifter bushing off the shift rod. Is there a press fit pin or something, there was a lot of grease and **** in there so it was hard to tell
also, TII's have electric speedo senders right, there was a speedo port but no sender. or am i mistaken
also, could someone identify all the wires on this thing.
there is a large sender or switch with 4 wires and a small switch or sender with 2 wires.
please help, I need to finish the tranny by tommorow.

All FC trannys had mechanical speedo cables, not electric senders.
There are switchs for 5th gear, Neutral, and reverse. As I recall 5th and reverse are in the same switch assembly and neutral is on its own.
Don't know about the shifter assembly that you are trying to replace.
