Turbine blades

Has anyone ever thought out about getting there exhaust blades ceramic coated??? Is it a good idea or a waste of time

It is quite expensive. Unless you notice deterioration on the blade there is no real reason to do it. Ceramic coating is typically used on really high temp stuff because it can allow hotter incoming temps without melting the blades. If there is less heat transfer between the blade and the air, more work will be done on the blade. So there may be a little more power, but it will be minimal.

Bottom line: gains will be small and price will be high.
