I'd suggest grabbing a Hayne's or FSM and checking all of the emissions equipment to make sure it's functional. We barely passed my 240 in 2007, but this go around, we checked everything, replaced some things and it passed by a large margin.

I couldn't pass the Massachsetts inspection 2 years ago with my 91 turbo at 108K. Replacing both cats with after-market hardware cured the problem. If tou do it, be careful ordering the parts. Turbo and n/c are different and some vendors aren't clear on which is which.

What Car are we talking about here?..N/A or Turbo?..You Should have an Airpump that will supply air to the Catalytic..The Catalytic: get a High Flow Cat Designed for a Rotary,OR get One that is For a V-8..The rotary engine makes Toast out of a Catalytic,so the stock cats,Don't last long on them, and they are usually Hollow by the Time someone goes to an Emissions test..20 years later!..do a Search Under Failed EMISSIONS..you may find Info.
