Trying to get a coolant level sensor in an aftermarket radiator

Trying to get a coolant level sensor in an aftermarket radiator

I just installed a v-mount, and the radiator doesn't have a place for a level sensor. I've tried looking for a weld-in bung, but our sensors use a very weird thread pattern. I'm also having problems finding a 1-wire sensor in a more normal thread.

Ideas?

The level sensor is essentially just a switch that shorts to ground via the coolant when submerged. No reason this wouldn't work if you're using an aluminum radiator:
