trying to fix an NA LSD

Hey everyone. I'vve been searching quite a bit, but havent been able to find any info regarding the teardown, rebuild, and assembly of an NA LSD for the FC.

My issue with the unit is that the input shaft has a good amount of play in it before the output shafts turn, and for some reason it had a vibration while the car was in 5th gear, and only 5th gear. strange. any quick fixes?
PS I swapped my original open diff back in, and everything was just fine. So yes, it is the diff, not a u-joint.

Im guessing its an s4 diff. I would look into a service manual and check the specifications. It might need a rebuild, and if you do, it tells you how to do it in the manual.
