Try to fix something and BOOM!!!!!

Recently I have been experiencing a boost leak problem. I would hit 11psi in 2nd and max out at 7psi in 3rd gear. I decided my best bet was to go through and throughly inspect all the vac lines and make sure everything had a snug fit. Once I got going I found several lines that weren't attached that wonderfully so I inspected/fixed every line I could find. When I was finished with that I decided while i was workin it was time for a good detail. I detailed my entire car inside and out, worked on it all day. After I got it looking like new I went for a test drive to see if I cured my boost problem. I let it warm up and then I got onto it. I did expect what happened next. Boost quickly creeped up to 16psi!!!
AHHH, I let off immediatley. As I returned to idle something was very wrong, I was camming like a built chevy . 98% sure I lost an apex seal. Let this be a lesson to be extremely careful when messing with vac lines on a turbo car. Sad thing is that it had never looked or ran better than it did just before the incident . I had just finished my sound system install too the day before.

I had my wastegate line pop off once after installing my boost controller. I shoot up to 16psi or so too for a sec, and when I stoped it wasn't idling too good and only pulling 12" of vac. I put the wastegate line back on and problem went away.
