Trustworthy Rebuilds?

Hello everyone,

My '87 T-II has been out of commision for some time now, but I now have the money for a remanufactured motor. I've looked around a little and found some very inexpensive motors and some very expensive motors. I know a good deal about rotaries and the 13B-t in particular, but I don't know who to trust. Please, if you have had good or bad experiences with rebuilders, let me know. I'm particularly interested in (www.mazdarotaryengines.com). They have a very affordable package, but I don't know how well it will be put together. BTW I'm looking for porting and 3mm seals this time.

Rebuilds

Give Atkins Rotary a call or look over their web site. They have the longest warranty (24 months/ 24K miles).

Their phone number is 235 848 7776.

Web site is [url]www.AtkinsRotary.com

Mazdatrix also has a decent reputation, and has rebuilds that run from stock to wild depending on how fast you wanna spend.

Rebuilds

Only place I would go, personally: Pineapple Racing. Other trustworthy places are Mazdatrix and Rotary Performance. Atkins is not that great, despite the hype (all those airplane engines on their web site were apparently built by Skip Gorman, who no longer works there). And Dave is a bit odd, in my humble opinion.

mazdarotaryengines.com - Their motors are pretty expensive if you ask me...$1,995+$550 core. I dont want to **** anyone off but, The motor I have yet to install is from Hayes. Its a stage 2 streetport/3mm apex seal/race bearings/all the goodies...It cost me $3164.00 I was very dissatisfied with it just because i found metal shards that had to be pulled out with pliers inside from the porting job. In my eyes, if anyone pays that kinda money for a motor atleast they could do is clean up their work. Anyway...I dont know anyone who has bought a motor from mazdarotaryengines.com. =o)

Cool

Email me your information on what you really want to do on the motor... (my experience, you don't really need 3mm, unless you're planning on doing 7sec times... heck Adam was doing 9's and 8's with his 2mm) anyways that's my opinion about using different apex sizes.

email me @ r_ed_line53@yahoo.com with all your information and I can refer you to someone else, new, even though they've been dealing with rotaries for 33 years. let me know, hope to hear from you soon.

see ya,
