::Trouble:: S5 tail lights on S4, any tips for install?

I just got a pair of S5 taillights for my S4 TII and I seem to be having trouble installing them. All the holes line up, but it seems like something is not allowing the lights to sit "at home", it feels like the piece that is holding me up is behind the reverse light section, but I don't seem to see anything. Also I took off the center license plate holder to eliminate that. Is there something that has to be done to get them to fit right?

There's a piece of metal that needs to be bent to accommodate the new lights - nothing major.
