ok so i bought a 88 rx7 i think its a s5 6 port..........it has a blown rear apex seal
but it also has a new exedy stage 1 clutch, walboro 255 fuel pump ne master/ slave cylinder and new pads and rotors on all 4....i also puschased a 13b streetported motor from another fella for 200$ in retrospect i feel i fucked myself on the engine..it was just sitting in his shed with no oil pan, no nothing on it...just some residue of marvels mystery oil left in it...he turned it over by hand it sounded ok(i dindnt know what the **** i was supposed to be looking for) i paid 600 for the car ok so the engine i got is probably shot it has some flash rust and all beat up. my plan was to drop the engine into the car remove air pump, omp and premix with a presilencer and header maybe a haltech but now im not to sure from what i read on here when an apex seal goes out it could damage the rotor housings....so now here i sit with a nice big ol paper weight i am still gonna try to rebuild one of this motors....at first i wanted just to make it n/a as a dd but i decided that when yax time comes i am going to buy a lil honda or something else really good on gas as a dd...........and just build the hell out of it
there is just so much **** to think about i spend like 3 hrs a day on the web just getting as much info as i can. what are you all running and any help(info) from people that have been there would be great
