Tricking voltage regulator instead of getting a new alt.

So we all know that the FC's electrical system is complete crap. Here's what I'm wondering...

Instead of getting a 130 amp alternator, is there a way to trick the voltage regulator to think that it's getting less voltage/amperage? Or getting a different voltage regulator that does this already?

The potential output is based on the internal windings of the unit, not the voltage regulator. Trying to trick the regulator to output more is only gonna do damage(like blowing fuses or important things like ecu or cpu).
