Transmission rebuilds, where to? Suggestions?

Transmission rebuilds, where to? Suggestions?
What companies out there do rebuilt Mazda transmissions?
My transmission is pretty much shot, grinds into second, when downshifting from 4th and ALWAYS when going into 5th. Is it worth getting rebuilt? I've got a spare in my parts car, but it's got more mileage then this one does. Is it worth swapping in?
What would an avg shop charge for a rebuild transmission? (replacement of all synchros)
BTW, I've got an 88 N/A transmission with 144k on it. I do plan on taking it to the drag strip/auto X when I'm finished rebuilding it. I want it to maintain a semi daily driver status but also make sure the gears don't die on the track.
