Transmission question
1st question, is I hear something squealing when I push in the clutch to go to the next gear, and when I decelerate just lifting off the gas pedal in gear. I think it is the throw out barring, but wanted to ask and make sure. What else can squeal in all gear changes?
2nd question, is if it is the throw out barring how much damage can it do right now just letting it squeal? I have just moved to an apartment so I can't really disassemble my car now. Will it damage much? and is there a way to stop the squealing temporarily? I was going to shot some brake cleaner in if there is a inspection hole would this help?

Probably the release/throwout bearing, but you can't be sure until you pull it apart. Don't go spraying brake cleaner into the housing, you will just dry up the grease and gain a grinding noise instead of a squeal. Worn out bearings can go awhile before fully seizing, but make plans to pull the transmission soon.
