Transmission Q Help!

Does a 89TII trany have 2 or 4 holes for the rear mount?

I ordered a rebuilt trany and the rear mounts with two holes on the bottom. The trany coming out of the car has two holes on each side. The guy that sold me the rebuild is telling me that i must have a special option sport rear suspension package that needs 4 holes for the rear mount. Is this BS? I thought all TII's have the same rear suspension? Did he send me a n/a trany?

any help would be great.
thanx

Don't know about the mount holes, but TII tranny is very different from an N/A. If you have have your trans out do they match up e.g. length, fill/drain plugs, trans mount, etc.?
I'd look @ my '89, but it's in the shop, and I can't remember holes when I put the clutch in.
Hopefully someone will post your needs.

The tranys look the same ecept the tail housing.
i called mazda and they said there is only one trany for the t2. the guy at the rebuild shop said that the turbo tranys have a pan on the bottom and the NA tranys dont. the one he sent has a pan and the one that came out of the car has a pan. so i'm guessing that they rebuilt a turbo trany and put a non turbo tail housing on it. could this be? i'm confused.

thanx for the input.
