Exclamation Transmission Problem

Ok heres the deal, 1st gear through 5th gear work fine, but u cant put it in reverse, it wont let the shifter go to the reverse spot, but sometimes u can put it in reverse, but it is kinda hard, this is a 91 GXL Manual, what do yall think the problem is.

Thank Justin

yeah my car sometimes doesn't like to go back into reverse. But I find that all i have to do is either do what cito said and release the clutch just a little without any gas, or take off all braking and rock the car back and forth till it falls in.
