transmission issue. Need help.

I have a 1990 GXL, got a new transmission put in it about half a year ago. been working great, with no problems. Today, I parked it, and then when I got back in, I couldn't shift into 3rd through reverse. I can shift into first and second. But in neutral, I can't even get the lever to move to the right ino order to try to get into another gear. This is kind of a major thing as I am currently stuck at a friends house.
If anyone has suggestions, please tell me. Thanks!

Hmmm. Wonder if the bushings are damaged and preventing the movement. Most likely not, but its worth a shot.

Just take up the trim, move the boots out of the way and remove the 3 bolts to pull up the shifter. Inspect the hole that remains for debris.

I have a question i have a problem with my shifter aswell ( sorry if im jacking your thread) but the thing with my seven is when i put it in first my shifter can move more to the left as if there is another gear. now i pulled the shifter off but couldn't see anything because it was full of oil... my question is is that normal to be full of oil?
