alrite, i REALLY would appreciate some help diagnosing a problem...my transmission smoked a LOT and still leaks oil all over the inner boot of my shift housing. my outter boot is ripped to peices so the insulation peices are almost soakin in tranny oil and the visible boot (which is red) is slowely turning dark red and getting oil all over it. When im sitting still for a while idling (tonight i was pickin my bro up from work) and it started to smell bad, so i took off the housing and SMOKE WAS EVERYWHERE! it really smells too, im takin it to AAMCO tomorrow and my mom said she'll pay up to 300 for repairs since the smell was there when i bought the car in august. do you think a seal is broken, do you think the tranny is busted? There seems to not be too much problems at all with grinding or slipping. car runs fine. the only time i grind the gears is when im accellerating at full throttle from first gear and slam it into 2nd and i hear a loud "CSHHRRRSSHH" (haha..bad sound..but its a grinding sound)
