Just changed the clutch and putting back the transmission to the engine but the engine raised about an inch-and-a-half. After trying to install it, the bottom is the flush but the engine bell housing and transmission is mating. Can someone help please.

yah its a bitch. get the top bolts on first, then the bottom bolts. make sure the splines are aligned ( spin the engine via driveshaft ) and make sure it isnt hitting anything chasis wise. i just did this very same thing and its a dick.

tilt the engine down,.that involves getting a block of wood to go between the rad shrouds and teh fan,.OR jack the engine up at the front pulley.
this will give you the LOOK that the engine is gonna Fly out of the engine bay,(tilted UP in th front and LOW in teh rear of the engine)
NOW,since the engine is now Tilted you should not have a proolem mating the Trans and the engine together..IF I CAN DO IT with 3 Busted vertebrae, you can!
OH,I find if you take the Trans cross member off,the trans is easier to man handle.Put the Mating bolts in.then jack the whole assembly up near the tail stock and put the cross member back on.You may have to do this loosely to fit, then tighten up as you get the bolts in.
Disregard Spelling please.,

I hope you used the clutch alignment tool to ensure that everything is lined up. If so than just keep working it, it'll eventually give up to you.

when i did mine, i jacked up the back of the tranny all the way up to the bottom of the car, and bolted the bottom on first. i used longer bolts up top with washers and it drew the engine down to the tranny where it is supposed to be. then i bolted all the other bolts and the longer one i took out and put the regular bolt in. it was a bitch. good luck.
