Thumbs up transmission choice.

So i have a 91 na automatic. I hate the fact that its auto but i got if for 1700 and its only got 60k on the whole car. I will have know problem swaping a manuel trans and all that other stuff like the pedal assembly and what not. my question is what is the tranny of choice to put in my 91 na? and just to be different and unique, can the 6 speed tranny from the rx-8 fit for the car and how much fab work is involved in doing this.

Thanks for looking and the advice.

The RX-8 tranny requires quite a bit of time, effort, and money to fit correctly into an FC. Overall there is very little gain to a street-driven car.
As for the tranny, whatever NA FC tranny you find that is in good shape.
If you are interested, there is a good writeup on how to do it in the tech section of www.rotaryresurrection.com
