WA Tranny Swap and now car wont idle???

so i sold my rx7 to my friend due to a dui and we just slapped a new tranny in it the wires that plug into the tranny were different and i think that they might be hooked up wrong but i tried almost every combination and it didnt change anything.

basicly the car wont ide and it ran fine right before the swap i also knocked all the **** out of the cat while the exhaust was off. anyone have any suggestions because we are stumped

Sometimes when I work on my car I inadvertently knock off a hose that caused it not to idle. It was an S4 and the hose is on the driver side.

what engine is in it?
