Tranny stuck in reverse/all gears reverse
Tranny was "stuck in reverse" had it repaired--only for it to happen again- there seems to be a "spring" on the 5th/reverse shaft that doesn't show to exist in the manual--Does it actually belong there?

that spring is an s5+ thing.
i have a t2 trans that's stuck in 5th, i havent pulled it apart yet, but it should be pretty obvious once you do. its weird, cause the gears are in 5th, but the shifter isn't, so you can have it in 5th and whatever other gear....
that rod the spring is on is the 5th/reverse selector rod...

the pic only shows 1st-4th. you should be able to put the center bearing plate in a vise (carefully, you don't want to mar the case, it needs to seal) and move the shift rids around while you turn the thing by hand.
