tranny strength question

tranny strength question

How long would the stock tranny last with a T-66, street ported, with FMIC, microtech, and a few other things

hmmmm. I believe the T2 drivetrain can hold up around 450hp however you need to upgrade the clutch.

It depends. If you abuse the transmission, i.e dropping the clutch, power-shifting, etc., expect the transmission to last as long as a mayfly in mating season.

with non-r-compound 205s on the rear, and a reasonable driver, the stock tranny can probably handle as much as a 13b can throw at it. I'd say 450+HP.

with 305 slicks, a twin plate clutch, and an abusive driver... 300HP might be pushing it.
