Tranny rebuild?

Search is being a pos and isnt working for me at all, just times out.
Anyway, I was wondering how expensive it would be to rebuild a transmission yourself using the FSM, or is it even worth a try? Is there any rebuild kits for FC trannys out there? (s5 na)
Any help related to this would be nice.

there are rebuild kits available. Check google. I however have heard that it is a complicated and difficult process. I personally had mine done by a tranny shop but afterwards regretted it and wish I had done it myself.

so I guess what I'm saying is, if you have a spare car do it yourself! but if you need it done, bite the bullet and take it to a shop.

I rebuilt my TII transmission. It's a bitch. I was lucky and got the price under 300 bucks. Malloy mazda. Drivetrain.com does not have the right parts. Don't try them.

I've rebuilt a 90 N/A 5-speed tranny. It's a lot of work, and requires a hydraulic press. A complete rebuild -- changing all the bearings, synchros and misc. parts --will run you several hundred dollars just for parts.
