My tranny has made a whinning sound since I baught it and now its starting to be really tough to get into gear, grinding, clunking. Basically I think its on its last legs, my question is what kind of things could I do to make it shift a bit smoother, pipe it down that kinda thing

 

Try draining it out and put in Redline MT-90.
It helps synchros and it might help your tranny go a few more years hopefully.
