tranny problem? or

ok so i got a 90 rx7 with a 13b and auto tranny, about 220xxxkm on the clock, so im driving the car, around town now, and its feeling pretty gutless all around, when i floor it, it doesnt gear down and its horrible on hills, it never used to do this, but the way it acts its like theres some kind of limiter or wiring problem gears dont slip or grind, and on the tach the "HOLD" light is on and i dont know what it means...
any help is appreciated
thanks

If I recall correctly, with the S5 automatic if the "HOLD" light flashes or stays illuminated even when you have the Hold function turned off, this is an indication of an electronic error in the transmission. I think the FSM has more info on this; it's been a while since I've seen an automatic FC.

ok i was thinking it was wiring for something, i didnt know there was a hold function or what it means, i just thought when it goes on something is wrong, but when the car drives it doesnt feel like a tranny problem, its like theres some sort of transmission governor or something...thats the best way i can explain it
