Tranny mounts are gone, So where do i get new ones and how hard to replace?

So i found that my tranny mounts are bad the other day and i now need to replace them.

But i don't know where to get these mounts other then the stealer which never seems to order the right parts for me.

So where can i order the tranny mounts and then how do i go about replacing them?

mazdatrix.com

They are $24 for each rubber mount

there are like 5 bolts that holds the mount on your car so its not hard at all to replace.

Thats what i was hoping, so i assume it is like an engine mount? jack up tranny, unbolt old mount, install new one, let tranny down.

How may mounts are there? i could not even really see one under the car.

If the trans mounts are toast, better check the bushing in the crossmember. When the trans mounts settle down (collapse) the weight of the trans pushes on the bushing causing it to break. Only way to correct is to buy a new crossmember.
Remove the 2 lower trans mount nuts on the underside of the crossmember. Remove the large center nut. Raise the trans and remove the 4 crossmember bolts and crossmember, remove the trans bracket, Remove the upper nuts for the mounts.

How much is a new crossmember and where do you get that? I think you are right that mine is gone. I know that bolt that goes through the middle of it hangs down about an inch below the crossmember.

Yup, it's a goner!
Mounts and crossmember:

Just an FYI:
I purchased a set of the competition mounts and had them on for about 3 hours. Didn't like the additional vibration felt inside the cabin, but they certainly kept the gear shift assembly steady.
