Hey guys,

I'm trying to replace my crossmember and tranny mounts, i jus got them from mazdatrix.com.

There is one bolt that is hard to get to.

its bolted to the crossmember and in the back its bolted to the tranny mount. you can see it thru a hole. I jus got a quarter inch rachet and that didnt fit into the hole. I'm thinking of jus trying to cut the tranny mount since its just rubber so i can get the crossmember out.

Does anyone know an easy way to get this darn bolt!?

I just replaced these on mine, but the tranny was out of the car. I think I had to use an actual wrench on that one, though.

 

the whole crossmember can come off.

 

Can you just pull the whole crossmember off and get to the nut?

 

don't try to go thru the hole....use a wrench from the side.

 

So yea, i finally got the damn thing off. its was definitely frustrating to get at.

So im trying to replace my crossmember and two tranny mounts.

The piece that holds the two tranny mounts and goes into the crossmember is bad. The thread on it, that goes into the crossmember is stripped and i need to get a new one. Does anyone know what its called and where i can get it? I looked on mazdatrix and its not there.
