tranny cooler

ok so i installed the a tranny cooler,

i looked at the haynes book and saw a diagram where the tranny lines go into the radiator. two lines one on feft and one on right if your below the car looking up. sence we are limited for space i had to pu t the tranny cooler infront of the i believe to be the oil cooler. the one in the front kind of small at the bottom of the radiator infront. i dont think it would restrict air flow enought to cause problems would it?

hopefully someone on here can help out.

i sure hope it helps. next week at this time ill be changing the tranny fluid and filter. still waiting for someone to tell me if it s ok to drain the fluid and turn the car on to drain the torque converter for a few sec .

thanks to anyone who has any insights on anything above.

anyone ?

sor far i took it out today ran the car at about 80 usually you can touch the shifter box in the cabin you know the plastic around the shifter and usually you can feel heat there but as of right now its stayed pretty cool.

so perhaps its doing a big diff by keepping it coool

let me know if you putting it in the spot above can cause problems.

thanks

This is confusing.
Can I assume you have an automatic?
The radiator would normally have a transmission cooler built into the bottom tank.

An external cooler should not be a problem as long as all the upper & lower plastic panels are in place.

yea it is an automatic. i installed the tranny cooler right infront of the oil cooler i assume it is. im using the cooler from the radiator and then having the fluid run into the new cooler. figure the cooler i keep the fluid and tranny the better off.

i just wanted to make sure that having it infornt of the other cooler would not harm the car sence oil is a big part in our vehicles.

just wanted to double check with some of you that might have done the same or similar.

The boost addicts put front mount intercoolers in there all the time.
