tranny

how to tell the difference between an s4 n/a and a s4 t2 tranny? anyone?
i think i may have picked up a "t2"(n.a) tranny.

Before all the "search" posts come....

The turbo tranny is longer, ribbed on the outside of the case, has a removable bellhousing and your NA driveshaft front won't fit right (too loose) on the back of the turbo tranny.

Basically what he said. The TII transmission also has a removable inspection plate on the bottom and has two fill and drain plugs. It's larger in general and heavier.

im still not sure. but i looked at the top of my n/a tranny and notices a spine going down the back and noticed the other tranny didint have that.
