Tranny

My N/A tranny has this bad habit of grinding when going into reverse sometimes (i'll be at a dead stop with the clutch all the way to the floor). And I've noticed it very rarely does it going into 5th and sometimes 4th gears...I smell a tranny fluid refresh...anyone else think that will help?

Is the clutch engaging all the way?

Transmission fluid should be replaced anyways at regular intervals.

well for starters the reverse thing .. its because there are no syncros for reverse .... its very commong for alot of trannys to do that almost ALL hondas do it as the same for alot of imports ... one good way around it is to put it into first gear b 4 u go into reverse ... it will help align the gears better ... atleast it always works for me .. and as for the grind with you going into 4th and 5th ... well i have no clue .. there is a chance u are not pushing the clutch all the way in b 4 u shift ..... i have a habbit of doing that when im ******* around on the street as my clutch engages about 2 cm off the floor lol ... but yeah ... its prolly cuz ur shift/ clutch action is not in sync
