tranny

i have a 86 gxl and my shifter in my tranny is loose. like i can pull up on it and then it goes back down and while in gear it can move like 2 inches in each direction. and i was also wondering what kind of clutch i should get? thanks for all the help

You need new shifter bushings. You can get it at www.mazdatrix.com

Is your car stock? OEM style clutches are good.

do i need the upper and lower or just the upper? and i was also thinking about buying a short throw shifter any ideas on what kind to buy?

Buy the short shifter from mazdatrix, it makes a huge difference.
