Trailing coil not firing

Hey guys have a 1987 rx7 turbo 2 it has a apexi power FC had to replace front iron pulled motor and replaced front iron put pulley on 1st mark lined up arrow to punch mark on the CAS can't get car to start every once in awhile it tries to after checking for spark seems I'm not getting spark on no1 trailing coil but I've read where a modification needed to be done for the power FC to work correctly tried replacing coil no change can it run on just leading ? Any advice will be great

The engine can start and run on just the lead coil. Trailing coil helps clean up the ignition to make sure the burn is clean I believe.

Any1 familiar with the apexi commander FC anything I should do with it to get the car started tryn to get it tuned but I'm tryn to get it started 1st had to take cas out to replace front iron lined all my marks up still can't get it to start used a timing light to check timing marks no.1 leading hits on the 1st make right under the pin on front cover which is 5 degrees atdc but still can't get it to run
