I have a 1987 Se with a straight pipe, intake, and 5th and 6th ports opened. My friend wants to trade me a set of tires for my SAFC which he will mount and balance. I am currently running some off brand tires that do the trick but on the stock 14"s. I have a set of nice 15"s that he has tires for. Do it or not. Will I run fine with out the SAFC with and mods that I just told you?

Need to know quickly.

 

BTW he just turbo is SOHC Accord which is suppose to be pretty fast.....We will see. but he needs it so yeah he doesn't blow. He is running 10.5-1 compression.

 

What kind of tires are they? If I were you I would talk to the local tire shops in search for slightly used tires. I picked up a pair of bfg g-force 275-35-17 tires with 50% tread for $45 last month. Never know what you are going to find.

 

yes it all depends on what brand of tires they are most 15" tires arent very expensive , they get pricey when you get into 16-17" new tires are they used?
