Track preperation

Ok, so I have ran my RX at the track a couple of times, but now I am running into an issue. My cornering forces have inceased massive amounts so now when i make one of the righ hand corners at the local track I can see my oil pressure drops a bit, what I am wondering is if i put an extra litre of oil in the car what negative effects will that have on it, i know its not a good thing to do with piston cars because the oil slapping will cause air bubbles but i can't think of a poor reason for the rotary. Does anyone have any advise. (I dont have time nor the money before my next trackday to get a new oilpan that is made for racing). I hope to here from somebody soon.

Get an oil pan baffle from Racing Beat or Mazdatrix. It's ~$50 and should help alot under high-g situations.

So, if you don't have time to fix the problem, why post about it?

Either make time, or..skip the track day? Is it really that important that you make it?

I had the exact same problem, and the baffle plate fixed it. Its easy and cheap...and good insurance against oil starvation.

The time shouldn't big a huge issue. The first time I replaced my oil pan it took maybe three hours from removal to installation. I could probably do it a good deal quicker now. All you need to do is put a jack with a block of wood under the tranny to keep the engine up, remove the passenger's driver mount, drop the pan, goo it up with a new gasket (you'll need two with a baffle) then put everything back in.

The hardest part was getting the bolts in the front above the subframe but I had one of those ratcheting wrenches which made quick work of those puppies.

I can make time to put it in, its ordering it that i am struggling with, but thanks for your input i do apprieciate it. But my original question even though poorly worded i guess, is, would it be okay to either run .5 or 1 litre of oil extra to help prevent this problem for this time around. I will do a proper fix as soon as i can but i need one right away, just to help prevent any problems.
